This is an interesting game with it's use of post processing and gameplay.
I like the animations and character used as they look smooth and easy to understand who I am meant to be controlling for the game.
I also like the usage of lighting where everything but the player and torches are slightly darker which makes it more difficult going through the levels.
Only issues I have in the game are that:
- The lighting is kind of useless since you can still see everything on the screen unless that is what you wanted.
- It isn't easy to see if the player has been hit sometimes such as running into spikes which I didn't notice quickly that my health went down which is a bit annoying.
- The level design can be a bit confusing with different paths with no idea on what is harder to go through and where to exactly go
I enjoyed having collectibles to find. It would be nice to have a maximum counter on each level to let the player know when they have collected all of them. Either that or a persistent counter between the levels.
Also text on the screen at the end was going off the screen. It was still readable but it seems like that was not your intention for it.
i really liked the game. The last level was quite hard which is good in my opinion as it was a good level of difficulty rather than being annoying like a lot of other games. I also really like the atmosphere of the game with the lighting. Although I do wish the coin counter was kept in between levels so i could see how many coins i grabbed at the end.
